Use the Progressive pie divider to divide your pie or cake into 7 equals slices. Hold the handle and push, and the -inchteeth-inch will cut perfectly into the pie or cake. Made from lightweight aluminum.For pie slices the way professionals do it, use this little measuring tool. It has seven serrated blades spaced an even 4 inches apart at the outer edge. The divider is not meant to do the actual cutting--it just lays out a perforation in the top surface to help you measure accurate portions. This works best with one-crust or crumb-top pies--if you have a heaping apple pie with a domed top crust, it tends to crumble that pretty top layer. This tool is especially handy for birthday cakes and for rich cheesecakes. When a 4-inch slice is too big, just make two cuts with the divider, rotating it a couple inches after the first cut. You'll end up with perfect smaller-sized slices, which can be tricky to get with soft, rich, custard-style cakes. It's best to pop this in the dishwasher for cleaning--the teeth are sharp, and can tear sponges and dishcloths. --Jill Lightner
