Customer Review: It does it's job fairly well

This product covers our bowls well and rests on the edge of our plates to prevent splatters. However, the expandable feature is almost pointless. I've tried to expand it and it comes apart or when you do expand it and put it over your dish in the microwave, it drops down. I've rarely had the "expand" part work well. I've just resolved to have it rest on my food when heating to prevent the splatters. However, it really does serve the purpose for which I purchased it; it prevents splatters on the top and sides in my microwave. It does speed up the heating process, which is very nice and convenient.
