This chopper is so good that it is an indispensible item in our kitchen. I have had 2 of them, broke the first one trying to take a short cut and chop a whole onion half in one slam. I've had the original Vidalia chopper for years. I dropped it and broke the container. It had been such a handy tool in the kitchen that I went directly to Amazon to look for another. I found this one and have not regretted ordering it. It works great and comes with it's own storage case to keep everything together.Customer Review: no carrots

One of the blades bent the 2nd week I had the device while I was slicing carrots. While the three blades and the catch cup are nice improvements to this brand, the blades are week and once bent.....you can no longer close it to chop. works well, very sharp I've used the other Vidallia chopper more, got this one for the slicing tray. Not sure on the sturdiness of it I'm very careful and don't do whole vegetables on either one so to minimize any chance of breaking the hinges. This chopper is such a time-saver in the kitchen. I use the dicer/chopper blade for chopping carrots, celery, onions, potatoes. The very handy slicer blade is great for mushrooms and strawberries. Never slice a finger again! Sure, you have more stuff to wash, but the time saved is worth it.
