Works great! I use it for steel cut oats: 1/4 c. steel cut oats to 1 c. water for a single serving. Add to pot, turn on low at night before bed, and it will be ready in the morning! Size up proportionately for more servings. If you want to add dried fruit into it, add more water -- the proportions then would be 1c. oats to 5 cups of water. The edges of the crock are a bit dried on with oatmeal, but I soak it for 20 mins. while I am getting ready for work, and it scrubs off easily.Customer Review: Great small crock pot

I wanted a small slow cooker to cook oatmeal in overnight. I first tried the Rival 2.5 quart slow cooker, and it ended up burning my oatmeal and making a mess. I then returned it and tried this slow cooker, and I couldn't be happier. I can cook oatmeal overnight on low without burning my oatmeal. It also has a keep warm setting, so I can cook the oatmeal overnight and when I wake up I can turn it to keep warm until I'm ready to eat. This slow cooker performs great!Customer Review: It's a hit.

I purchased this crock pot as a Christmas gift for my wife (to give in addition to less 'domestic' gifts) after she made mention of not having a 'small' crock pot for dips. She has used it at least a half dozen times since Christmas and is very pleased with it. The metallic ring on the outside, beneath the lid ring, gets very hot, so be careful. Otherwise, it's a great little appliance. There are enough settings to keep things warm, cook and anything in between.Customer Review: Great product!

This is a quality product, perfect for cooking for 1-3 people (smaller families, college students, etc.). I highly recommend it. It is so easy to use and fuss-free. Also, most smaller crock pots have only one setting, but this one has three (high, low, and keep warm). It has a nice glass lid and a removable ceramic crock, both of which you can clean in the dishwasher. This is a good size when you only need to make 2-3 servings of a dish. I use this most often for steel cut oatmeal in the mornings, but also use it for side dishes and smaller meals, or when my 6 quart crockpot is simply too big. I went with this one over the "little dipper" they sell specifically because the crock is removable. It fits pretty well in the dishwasher, which makes for easy cleanup. I have found the heat settings to be accurate, too.
