This is one great little toaster! It is a no frills toaster that does just fine making toast evenly- fast enough to please me-and works as good as my last expensive one that finally quit. Yes I agree with the previous reviews.. It gets really hot. Last week at walmart i just read about a safety recall for a similar toaster (Not sure if it's the same model but it was Procter silex)..So check that.

I ordered this item on Jan 4 2011 and till date(Jan 18) they did not even start to ship my order after sendig a enquiry mail to the seller he responds saying " your item is in backorder for another week time would you like to cancel the order?"..very dissapoited.Customer Review: Does what is expected from a toaster

It does a decent job of making a toast. Pros: cheap, the bread pops up really high. Cons: The toast on one side is darker than the other, it takes time, the light-medium-dark dial doesn't give enough options to get to the perfect toast, white gets dirty easily.Customer Review: Proctor-Silex toaster

This product arrived in safe, new condition. There was a recall of this product due to a fire hazard, product #s supplied; the one shipped to me WAS NOT one of the recalled numbers. This toaster is doing fine. I trust it will continue to do fine.
