Customer Review: Strong Chemical Smell

I found this product to have a very strong chemical smell. I couldn't stand the smell and couldn't image having a new baby around it, so I returned it. It reminded me of a foam workout mat I once owned that had this strong chemical smell for all the years I owned it (and hardly ever used because of of it).
I purchased the Bumbo seat and it has almost no smell. And they even sell a tray attachment for it now. I am pleased with it.

I am using this for my younger son and we enjoy it quite a bit. He can sit in it next to me and my older son while we read or play a game. He can see everything that's going on and seems to enjoy the view. We have used it since he was about 3 and 1/2 months and he is 5 months now. He is just learning to sit alone and this seems to help him. It is also quick and easy to throw in the car to take to a relatives house or restaurant.Customer Review: Great chair

We love this chair..... we feed our son in it and he sits in it at times when we play. It fits him really well. We started at 4 months in it, and he needed a little help from falling over, but now he does great. DO NOT LEAVE A BABY UNATTENDED IN IT... they will eventually squirm their way into falling out. Love the color, love that it is light weigth. We throw it in the van and take it to Grandmas for play and feeding too.Customer Review: I love it!

I got this and I LOVE it. We starting using it around 4 months. Baby loves it too. We take it with us when going to restaurants. It is so much better than leaving him in his car seat. We feed him his baby food in it too on our kitchen counter. If I had to do over again... I'd get one with a tray. It is not plastic, it is a firm foam rubber. It doesn't push into my son's tummy at all and I'm really glad I got it when I did.Customer Review: Seat stinks like plastics

Has anyone else experienced the stench of this seat out of the box? We bought ours new and when I removed it from the box the odor of chemicals or plastic was very strong. We set our kid in it for about 5 minutes to see how she would like it and the stink transferred to her clothes.
I'm thinking of "baking" the chemicals out (turning a hairdryer on it) for a few minutes to see if that helps.
