This seat is helpful for baby to sit up and play before they can sit independently, but I think it's way over-priced for its function, so wouldn't buy it new. Glad we got it second-hand. I think looking back we would've preferred bumbo brand since it has a toy-tray option while this one makes it hard to display any toys for baby - except for on the floor where it's hard for her to reach. Or we would sometimes put it right up to the fabric bars on her activity gym play mat so she could always reach the dangly toys there while seated. It makes a good seat for propping baby up for snapshots and photos, and even a portable eating chair if you're going over to someone's house for dinner - BUT only should be used on the floor where it is safe - never on a chair or table.Customer Review: PRODUCT HAZARD - PARENTS BEWARE

I'd give this chair 0 stars if that was an option. The chair seemed great at first in helping my son sit upright and practice his sitting skills. He started using the chair around 4 months old. I was very careful in using this chair. I only put him in it when it was on the floor and I was always nearby to supervise. One day my son was reaching for a toy next to the chair and he fell completely out of the chair flat onto his face. Luckily he wasn't hurt and there was no furniture nearby for him to bump into, but this could've been a very serious and scary hazard. The chair seems like a great idea, but I really want all parents to know that it is not safe. I have written the company to complain and am awaiting a full refund. Great seat for an infant who can hold their head up but still needs support in a sitting position. My son is able to sit and play with toys in the Pod--although they have to be tall enough that he can grasp them, as he cannot reach the floor while in the seat. I also did not realize beforehand that you cannot add on a tray to this style--it does not have the white twist-off pommel. I was planning on adding the tray when my son was a little older and would have snacks there, but that is not possible with this style. That was disappointing (it should be noted in the description), but overall we are pleased with the seat.Customer Review: Absolutely love it!

My baby was a very large baby and still is weighing in at 16lbs at only 2 months. She is always wanting to sit up straight, but since she's only 2 months she can't do it on her own. She can sit up very straight by herself when she's in this chair.
I can put her in it on the floor while I am cooking diner and she'll just sit there and watch me the whole time. I absolutely love it! ! !
I just hope she still fits in it as she grows because otherwise I don't know what I'll do!

I bought the bebe pod when my daughter was small to help her sit up. The sides and front were high enough to where she wouldn't fall out. And it is a lot softer than it looks. Durable too, we can toss it around the house and it doesn't fall apart. She's a year old now and we still use it when we don't feel like pulling out the highchair. She's small for her age and it fits her perfectly. I would totally recommend this product, it's been great for us.
