Customer Review: Great little fryer!

I had an Emeril deep fryer before getting this one, and I wanted to replace because I was going through way too much oil with that bigger unit. After using this little Cool Daddy fryer, I notice how intelligent the design is. Here's some nice features:
1. It has a locking cover which is great because it makes it safer and prevents grease pops from flying everywhere when you drop the basket. I had a lot of trouble with grease pops from my old Emeril. The fact that the Cool Daddy locks is very smart. Also, another smart feature is the way that the basket goes down with the push of a button on the handle. So you can put the food in the basket while it's out of the oil, close the top cover, and THEN dunk it-- a really great design for fryer safety. Bonus-- less messy cleanup since there isn't oil all over the counter.
2. It's really easy to clean (hand washing takes about 2 minutes total), especially compared to my previous fryer, and it's also a lot easier to skim and store the oil for reuse with this one.
3. The unit is not too big and not too small for my needs (for someone who cooks for 2 to 4 people regularly), so I've been saving by buying less oil since using this one.
4. This unit comes with a charcoal filter for the cover, and I'm sure you can buy replacements. The filter greatly reduces the "I-can-tell-you've-been-cooking-fried-food-in-your-house" smell that tends to linger. Before I got this fryer home, I was thinking I was going to have to use it outdoors only like I had to do with my other fryer, but as a result of the nice safety design mentioned above with the locking cover, and since it has this charcoal filter, I have decide to start using the fryer in the house every time. It's really nice to be able to fry indoors on days when the weather is nasty outside.
I fry at least once a week, and the smart design of this great little fryer has made my cooking experiences a lot quicker, easier, and more pleasurable. Five stars.

This Presto CoolDaddy electric deep fryer includes several features that help you make tasty fried chicken, fish, shrimp, and French fries for up to six people. Its adjustable thermostat ranges from 250 to 375 degrees F, and its bright red indicator light signals when the oil has reached the desired temperature so food cooks no longer than necessary. A viewing window lets you track progress without opening the cover, and an included wire basket with an exterior handle means you can prevent spatters by lowering food into hot oil with the lid down.
Smart in structure, the fryer has a cool-touch exterior and a locking cover with a push-button latch for safety. Its anti-odor charcoal air filter removes without hassle, and the interior cooking pot is nonstick for quick cleanup. The wire interior basket features small holes--good for draining oil off while keeping small pieces in.
