I was wrong...
I thought it was going to be a typical "As seen on TV" piece of junk. I could not IMAGINE cooking bacon in the Microwave. After all, anyone ever tried to cook a fresh hamburger in the Microwave? You get a grey, nasty-tasting chuck of... well, something.
But I said what the hell. It's only $14 and I get free shipping with Prime (free plug for Amazon there :))
This thing is brilliant in it's simplicity. I use a (40 second per slice) +10 sec cooking rule (+10 sec to make up for my weaker 900 watt Microwave).
The bacon comes out right between that soft, chewy and crisp, crumbling consistency that I like.

I have tried every Microwave Bacon Cooker I have seen and this is the best one I have ever used. I have been using the Presto for years and will continue to as long as I can get them. The only problem with them as with any item used in a microwave is that over time they develope cracks in them that allow the grease to leak through. That is the only problem and like I said the other types that I have used also developed cracks too. The Presto is very easy to wash after each use and is easy to keep clean. It is made of heavy material and very sturdy. The "V" shaped bacon holders keep the bacon strips from sticking together like so many others do.
As I said, it's the BEST!!!!!!

I'm much happier with the Presto Microwave Bacon Cooker than I was with the ceramic one from the craft fair. This one holds eight pieces of bacon, as opposed to six for the ceramic; and, the ceramic one would get hot in the microwave! Removal of the bacon is much easier on this cooker - just slide a knife under all four pieces of bacon on each side and lift them to a platter. We like turkey bacon; and, with my son home from college, I will cook one or two packages of turkey bacon at a time. This summer, my son moves into his own apartment and I ordered him one of these for his new kitchen.
Edit, October 2010 -- Still use this regularly and still happy with it.

This worked out good except that I was hoping it was little larger so that I could fit a whole package of Bacon on it. I had to over lap the bacon strips to fit the whole package on it. That worked out OK. I just had to pull the strips apart afterwards. I need to practice with the cooking time though. You can get your bacon really crispy or not crispy enough. But I love the fact that there was no mess in the microwave as long as you put a paper towel over it to catch the splattering like the directions says. This beats cooking over a stove and getting splattered from the grease.

After my 20+ year old microwave bacon cooker developed a stress fracture it was time to look for another. A reviewer's comment about this one working in a microwave with a turntable caught my attention. I still have the 20+ year old microwave and a bacon cooker like my old style would still work quite well in it. However, I decided to keep my options open for that time when the microwave bites the dust. We couldn't be happier with this bacon cooker. We like very crisp, grease-free (as close as can be possible with bacon!) bacon. This cooker does just that and clean up is a breeze. I hope this one lasts 20+ years!
