Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Presto 05100 Microwave Bacon CookerCustomer Review: Works Great - Cleans Up Fantastically Summary: 4 Stars
What can I say, this product works great. It is easy to use and produces multiple pieces of bacon that are crisp and less greasy than bacon cooked other ways.
Set up is easy. You essentially just tilt the plastic pieces together and then lay the bacon over them. After cooking you can use a knife to lift multiple pieces off at one time. The bacon will be bent but if you place them down on a plate while hot, they'll straighten out.
Clean up is easy too. The corners make a perfect spout to pour the excess grease out into a jar. The thing dismantles and can be flung into the dishwasher where we've never had a problem with it not coming out squeaky clean. (You know how some plastic attracts grease... not a problem with whatever this product is made out of)

Customer Review: Wonderful bacon!! Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little skeptical when I went to buy this, but based on the other reviews I decided to give it a try, and boy am I gald that I did!! I love my bacon very crispy and this worked perfectly. It only takes about 60seconds per piece of bacon (in my microwave), so it's very easy to plan my breakfast. Plus, I don't have to deal with the grease splatter on my stove, which is always a huge bonus! It takes two second to put the pieces together and lay the bacon strips accros the clear plastic pieces you see in the picture. Then to wash you just dump out the grease and throw everything in the dishwasher. To store, the plastic pieces lay down flat in the black base, so it doesn't take up too much room. If you love bacon, and want an inexpensive, easy way to make it, then this product is for you.
Customer Review: A Dream Come True! Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot stand frying bacon. I have in the past baked it in the toaster oven. But it is messy and takes too long. And heck-I'm trying to get my bread toasted too. After reading the reviews for this product I went ahead and bought it. It works! Some people may not enjoy the taste because it isn't pan fried. I'll tell you why: Because it isn't soaked in grease :(I'm sad too. But hey! Use the bacon grease that drips into the pan for your fried rice!!!!!! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Please note it will take a few tries to perfect the level of crispiness of your bacon. And the thickness of the bacon matters too. I used the bacon that I made too crispy as bacon bits for my salad. Now I'm making BLTs like crazy.
Customer Review: Does exactly what you are hoping it will do - cook lots of bacon fast and easy Summary: 5 Stars
I've got a family of 4 kids. All 6 of us enjoy bacon on weekends. Until recently we did the whole plate, paper towel, in the microwave thing. That didn't work so well. It was always messy and wasted a lot of paper towels.
Then I found this thing. It works as I had hoped. I can cook about 8 strips at a time in about 6 minutes (my microwave is one of those 1250 W Panasonic units). It only takes on sheet of paper towel with each batch to stop the spattering so I'm also using a lot less paper towels. It's easy to clean and break down to store.
I couldn't have asked for anything more, and on top of that it's only $14.
Well worth it if you need to cook a good amount of bacon.
Customer Review: Microwaved bacon with this is inconsistent Summary: 2 Stars
I've found this product to be so-so. After using it several times, I've concluded that traditional pan fried bacon tastes much better with a more satisfying texture. The best thing I can say about this bacon cooker is that it is a relatively simple process and the bacon doesn't sit in grease at any time while cooking. The results, however, have varied from poor to mediocre so I'll probably stick with pan fried bacon for 5 or less rashers or bake it in the oven when I need lots of rashers at the same time, which has always come out great. Also, this product is less easy to clean than either a fry pan or a baking tray, which are each a single surface. With this, you have to clean 5 separate components.
