This is my first pressure canner, and I have already used it twice. As recommended, I took the lid and gauge to the local Extension Service for testing, and it worked perfectly. The instructions booklet that accompanies the canner is pretty easy to understand, though I wish the graphics were a little larger. I thought pressure canning was something akin to rocket science, but it was really very much easier to do. And now I'm continuing a tradition that has been going on in my family for generations.Customer Review: Great Service

My pressure canner arrived before I even expected it to. Amazon was very conservative on the shipping date (although I'm sure this varies). Arrived well-packed and as described and that's just great for me!! :) I've already used it to B-W can some strawberry jam. Will be getting the three-piece regulator as my gauge was already 2 lbs. pressure off when I had it tested at my local extension office (this was out of the box "off" btw). I've been wanting one of these for a while & glad I got it. It is easy to put together, is HUGE, and the book is helpful in calming any nightmare stories you have heard.
If you have wanted one of these things - this is a great one & you can't beat the price.
I have a flat top stove too & it worked. I think it may have taken longer for the water to heat to the right temperature but held up fine. Be aware that the pan is very large & even a gas stove will need the bigest flame it has.

I ordered the presure canner on a tuesday and used the free shipping option figureing that It would get to my home in a few weeks, it arived 2 days later!! The product itself is of exceelent qaulity and I do not think you could find a better one for the price. This is a must have item for any home gardener with a surpluss of produce. And by canning things yourself you know that you will be eating, food that you had control over not a crop that was sprayed with a thousand different chemicals.Customer Review: Good Product - received broken

So far I've used this product once, and found it somewhat easy to use. However, when I received the product, the pressure gauge was broken. The needle wasn't on the dial. I called the manufacturer, and they told me they'd send another pressure gauge out without a problem, but it would take up to 15 days for me to get it. They also told me that I was lucky that it would only take 15 days. I wasn't very happy about that. On a positive note, it only took 5 working days for me to get it.
