I received the 4X model of this as a gift about a year ago. Awesome! I had tried using the "Private Reserve" Wine Preserver with some success which is the same idea of using inert gas to seal out oxygen (which degades the wine quickly). The difference is the stopper. You re-use the cork with the "spray into the bottle" style preservers which doesn't seam to get all of the oxygen out but works well for use the next day or so. The PRESERVINO is actually a stopper which exhausts the oxygen as the heavier gas is injected into the bottle through the stopper and then you simply turn the stopper to close it and "presto" you have saved a bottle of wine for later. Nothing worse than day-old red wine but this little item solves that. I have opened bottles stored with the PRESERVINO 5 & 6 days later and are as fresh as when I sealed them. I now buy the 2X models (two stoppers rather than 4) as gifts. The PRESERVINO comes in a very attractive storage/presentation box making it a perfect gift for the wine drinker who doesn't always drink the whole bottle.
