I bought this gun with the idea that I would save time loading the barrel which on my small Nesco gun is often. Although it does hold a lot of mixture I find it difficult to completely fill the tube because of the air that gets trapped during the process. I've tried different methods including using the supplied plunger but still find completely filling the tube nearly impossible. So, getting it to hold the one pound of mixture they claim it will hold is not going to happen ( you'll still need to take it apart to add the remainder of your mix...of course if your making a large batch this becomes a non issue). I will say that the gun does pump beautifully and takes very little effort. The other small complaint I have is the double flat nozzle is a real pain to clean...food gets trapped between the two tubes and also gets trapped under the large plastic threaded nut that's affixed to it.
