I ordered this product,for my son, for Christmas. It arrived quickly. I gave it to him early because he needed to use it. My son plugged the "Power Center" into the wall out let. Then, he already knows how to run the item, he clicked up the first "tab" to start programming the "Day and Night" features. The "Dial" in the center of the product blew sparks, burned my son's finger and blew the surge protecter on the device. I have had to PAY THE SHIPPING TO SEND THIS ITEM BACK. I WILL GET A REFUND,OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE THAT I PAID-AND THE SELLER HAS ALREADY RECEIVED HIS PAYMENT FROM ME, BUT I HAD TO PAY $11.19 to send it back. So I had to pay something for nothing!

Description of Power Center with Day-Night Timer - 8 Outlets

The Power Center is an easy-to-use 24 hour timer and 8-outlet indoor power strip in one convenient unit. It is an effective and efficient tool that makes aquarium and terrarium environments easier to manage. It can be used as a day-night timer or a wave-maker timer.This UL listed Power Center includes 4 timer-controlled outlets, 4 constant power outlets, a 24 hour mechanical timer with 15 minute setting intervals, alternate day-night cycle timer, a manual control switch, 3 ft. heavy duty power cord, sliding outlet safety covers, 3-prong grounded outlets and plug, and a 15 amp-120 volt (1875 watts maximum) circuit breaker. When the 2 daytime timer-controlled outlets are on, the 2 nighttime outlets are off. This feature allows you to control tank and terrarium environments with daylight, nightlight, heat source, moonlight and wave-maker applications. It can control 2 pairs of water pumps (total of 4 outlets) at alternating intervals of 15 minutes or more to create a wave-maker application. The 2 sets of outlets will interchange between each other based on the timer setting. This wave-maker application creates a natural rhythm in your tank that replicates ocean tidal movements.
