The Holly and Ivy is the contemporary arrangement of an antique illustration of rich green foliage and lush red berries. Evocative of the traditional English Christmas, the collection includes dinnerware, giftware and cookware in Portmeirion's romantic dinnerware shape. This is the perfect pattern to start your own holiday entertaining tradition for generations to come. Portmeirion's Holly and Ivy pattern was designed by second-generation Portmeirion designer Anwyl Cooper-Willis in 1996 as a contemporary arrangement of antique illustrations with a flowing script of a lyric from the 17th Century English carol it's named after. The design is hand-painted on high-quality earthenware, and they are safe in the freezer, microwave, and dishwasher--making preparation, serving, and clean-up a breeze.
