Artist Susan Williams-Ellis found her inspiration for Botanic Garden from antique botanical Illustration plates. The mix and match collection currently features around 30 individual floral and butterfly designs with the signature leaf motif border. This colorful dinnerware collection is complimented with a large range of bakeware, serving items and giftware. Botanic Garden has decorated homes all over the world for over 30 years. Romantic shaped covered sugar coordinates beautifully with the romantic shaped creamer, Bristol mug, traditional cups and saucers.This covered sugar bowl from the Botanic Garden collection is equally at home on the breakfast table or at the most sophisticated of afternoon teas. Daintily sized, its elegant curves provide the perfect background for one of 28 breathtakingly detailed hand-painted flowers, each wittily accented with lifelike butterflies. The domed lid, plain except for a border of simple leaves, contrasts beautifully with the bold pattern on the bowl.
More than 30 years ago the founder of Portmeirion Potteries was inspired by 19th-century botanical illustrations to create the Botanic Garden collection of tableware and cookware. Each piece is crafted from fine glazed earthenware and features a floral design complemented by a simple border of green leaves to give the collection a coordinated look.
