I thought I would try using this as a meditation timer because all of the chime timers are so ridiculously expensive. I found the buzz to be too startling for meditation; however, I really like the fact that you can clip it on or put it on a little stand, so it's useful as a kitchen timer--I can just clip it on and do other things without worrying that I won't hear the timer go off.
If you're looking for a meditation timer, you might try this. Blue Moon also makes one that's not too expensive and has adjustable volume; however, I really wanted one that just had three simple chimes, not a tune, so I'm going to go get a Sage timer (which at least isn't as ridiculously expensive as a Salubrion Enso, nor as complex to use).
