After looking at step stools at a number of local retail outlets (Walmart, Target, Home Depot) I turned to Amazon to see what they had to offer. I can tell you that most of the solutions out there are very poorly made and of low quality. If you compare them to the Polder 2-Step it is easily worth the extra money for this product. We use this at least twice per week so I wanted something solid and easy to use. These fold out easily and fold up just as easily. We have been using them for 3 months now and I would bet they will last for many years. I can't say enough good things about the Polder compared to poorly made units like the "Cosco" sold at many places.
