I had been keeping my bread, rolls etc in the refrigerator but the taste and texture were adversely affected. I remembered my mom and grandmother always using breadboxes. So iI started to look for one for my kitchen and all I could find locally were plastic storage boxes. Searched Amazon (should have done this in the first place) and found this box that is almost an exact replica of what my mom used. It is so great! Stuff stays fresh for a long time. Big capacity...I have 2 loaves of bread, hamburger buns and a box of shortbread in there now and there would still be room for at least one more package. It looks clean and sleek on my counter and frees up the room I had been using in my refrigerator.
