This is a really nice bread box and holds 2 loaves of bread with plenty of room to spare for bagels and/or rolls. It has an attractive finish that goes well with my other black appliances (perfectly matches my Kitchen Aid mixer). I am thinking of getting an extra bin to hold the attachments for my mixer and other appliances (to eliminate some of the drawer clutter that has resulted from storing all the little 'extras' that come with things these days). It would also make an attractive storage box for office or hobby/crafting supplies. The base of the box seems rather lightweight, but the lid is heavy and so it makes for a nice fit and firm seal. The only con is that the tape used to seal the box for shipping leaves behind a very heavy and sticky residue that is hard to remove. Overall this is a nice addition to my kitchen.
