Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Polder Digital Timer with Vibrating, Audible, and Illuminated AlarmCustomer Review: nice to have timers for the hearing impaired Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great little timer to use especially if there are hearing or visual impaired people in the same house. The display is easy to read, it is easy to set and the blinking light is great even when you can hear it. It also has a vibrate mode. Fabulous! Unlike a regular non digital timer, it keeps on going off, not just one BING.
Cons to this item are that if you clip it to your pocket or belt and go and do something and it gets knocked off, the back falls off and the batteries fall out. This is usually fixed by putting in ones pocket, or leaving nearby on the counter. Also wish the audible beep was a bit louder. But all in all, I like it.
Customer Review: Impressive Summary: 5 Stars
Counts up or down, minutes/seconds or hours/minutes. Input a time then start it to count down; keep it at 0:00 and start it to count up. Can pause and start again. Has 3 kinds of alarms: beep, shaker, and/or light and you can choose which you want in any combination. Attractive, compact design. I am not sure how well it sticks on the refrigerator because of the angle of the magnet, but it can be set on a counter too, so the magnet isn't a big concern for me. No need to buy special batteries as it takes AAA batteries, a real plus. I really like this timer and will be ordering more for my kids, especially for my oldest son who is studying to be a chef.
Customer Review: best ever Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking for the perfect timer, casually, for the last 4 years. Every time I go into a store that would carry this type of product, I look to find the right one. I have wasted a bit of money on inferior products before this. Not only does this timer give you several options of displays and types of time increments, but you can be alerted by sound, light, or vibration. I can also hook it to my waist, set it on a table top, or stick it (magnetically)to my metal paper organizer. I use it all ways. My husband is a doctor and we have to time various therapies in different areas of our facility. This was a tester purchase and we will be buying more.
Customer Review: Excellent for in the kitchen Summary: 5 Stars
I use this alarm in the kitchen and not for other things, so I can't comment on it in other capacities. As a kitchen timer, it's been absolutely perfect. It's easy to use and comes in two modes: an hour/minute mode, and also a minute/second mode. It's loud enough so that I can hear it anywhere in my apartment, though my apartment is pretty small. The best part, though, is that it has a magnetic backing so that you can stick it to your fridge (and it really sticks well) and press the buttons with it still on the fridge. If you prefer to not have it on the fridge, there's a little metal thing in the back that pops up so that you can stand the timer up.
Customer Review: Timer for your deep yoga experience Summary: 5 Stars
I might be the first one writing a review on a timer relates to yoga:) I used this timer for during Kundalini, Iyengar and Yin yoga practices. Because it has vibrations, light or audible alert options it is fantastic. You can go deep into the stretches without thinking about anything and when your 3-5 min is up this little guy wakes you up from the deep stretches. Also due to its light function I was able to use it when I teach. I can see the time is up without distirubing my students with the beeping sounds....
Love this guy. Wheter you need to use it for kitchen or any other purpose it is a good one.
Namaste,
Tijen
