Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Polder 602-90 Digital Cooking Timer/Thermometer and Clock, WhiteCustomer Review: Fast & accurate in my grill Summary: 5 Stars
This Polder seems like it will last longer than the 6-month life of a dozen others I've bought. Can't imagine trying to precisely control cooking of roasts, plus steaks, chops, etc. for each guest's preference) without a quality digital remote thermometer. Besides, it seems Amazon will start selling replacement cable-thermocouple-probes for Polder. That's what I really want!
Customer Review: EZY 2 USE & ACCURATE Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second Polder. I needed a 2nd one to use in my cardboard smoker (Alton Brown's VHS Tape: GOOD EATS HOOKED & COOKED).
My original Polder does not have a Clock and is not as accurate: reads 3 Degrees F lower than it should.
A great buy and terrific product.
Customer Review: Cook it perfectly every time. Summary: 4 Stars
This thermometer is great for any roast. Put the probe in the meat, set the temputure you want, meat comes out perfect every time. This is my second purchase because probe wire eventually failed (after 5 years). Other than that product works great, a must have for bbq season.
Customer Review: Not Reliable Summary: 1 Stars
After my second failure I've given up on this very inexpensive unit. No on-off switch so you must pull the battery when you put it away. Probe is the failure point on both of my units but, that's the most important feature for me. Time to look for another timer w/probe.
Customer Review: Failed the first time it was used Summary: 1 Stars
Maybe you should not use these on a grill but I did and it failed the first time I used it. I even went as far as to insulate the probe cord with aluminum foil and it still died. I would not recommend buying this product. Amazon was very good about a refund.
