Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Polder 526-05 Sixty Minute Cook's Timer, ChromeCustomer Review: dead on arrival Summary: 1 Stars
I read the reviews of timers dead on arrival, but I figured that it wouldn't happen to me. then I received the timer.
summary: good-looking, strong magnet, but IT WOULDN'T RING!
ridiculous.
I had to open it up and fiddle with the inner mechanism in order to get the ringer to work.
save yourself the trouble, and pick it up at your local store. or order another timer.

Polder 526-41 Sixty Minute Cooki's Timer, Yellow
Have had mine for about two years and use it regularly. Set it for dogwalks and naps as well as cooking. Regularly wear it in yard while gardening (tuck it into a pocket -- still works). Like the fact that I can park it on fridge thanks to magnet.
Customer Review: Not what I expected Summary: 2 Stars
Totally made out of plastic. Since you have to turn the knob all the way around and back to the desired time, it gets stuck 20% of the time. You have to pull the knob upwards to let it loose enough to tick. I'm going to take it apart and see if I can fix it before I throw it away. Probably the knob is rubbing against the casing and stops moving. Anyway, it looks better than it works.
Customer Review: Useful gadget for the hard of hearing Summary: 4 Stars
I got this because I can no longer hear my regular kitchen timer, and really like using this one. I set it and hang it around my neck, and then go on and do my usual activities, without worrying I won't hear the timer.
Customer Review: Poor Quality! Summary: 2 Stars
We bought this timer to hang in the bathroom so my son would know when to get out of the shower (he is worse than my daughter in there!). This timer only worked half the time and was not accurate.
