Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Pinzon 5-9-Inch Pasta MakerCustomer Review: Happy with Purchase Summary: 5 Stars
After sending untold hours pouring over reviews and wondering if I made the right choice, I can say that I'm very happy with my Pinzon pasta maker.
I like the fact that it is slightly narrower than some of the others since it gives me better control over the dough passing through the machine. Also it appears to be very sturdy and performed smoothly. I think problems people experienced with pasta makers are mostly due to the consistency of the dough. You need to find a simple recipe and be sure that the dough IS NOT sticky. If you get it right there is no cleaning required of the machine.
My only negative comment , which was mentioned by others, is that the handle may slip out of the machine. I solved this by putting a small piece of masking tape on the end of the handle.

Customer Review: Great to make Shanghai Won Ton Wrap Summary: 3 Stars
The pro:
This pasta machine is great to make mini shanghai won ton wrap.
With No.9, you can create really thin wrap which is amazing. I already uploaded two pictures.
The Con:
I received this machine with broken pasta attachment. It cannot make spaghetti (which I usually call thick noodle).
Amazon exchanged it for me. The brand new machine I received, however, has broken wrap parts. It cannot make wrap properly.
So I just replace the broken pasta attachment and keep my original wrap parts.
I have to say amazon has good customer service but the quality of this product is low.
Cross your fingers for your order with this machine.
Customer Review: Noodle Cutter Doesn't Work Summary: 1 Stars
For those that haven't made pasta before, this item only gives the vaguest of instructions on how to operate the pasta maker and absolutely no basic recipes to follow. So, your only option as a beginner is to search online for instructions. Not a difficult thing to do, but just an extra step in the process.
The pasta maker rolls pasta into flat sheets very easily, but the noodle cutter portion just wouldn't pull the pasta through at all (and I tried drying the pasta for various lenghts of time to see if there was some perfect consistency that was necessary). In the end, I ended up cutting the pasta by hand.
I would not recommend this particular brand.
Customer Review: disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present. She was very excited and could not wait to get started. She researched and invested in the right flour and recipes to get started into a hobby that would amplify her cooking. After setting everything up and waiting for the dough to be ready, her first attempt to roll her dough through, the width adjusting handle popped off and could not be re affixed. The connections were completely warped. This was to be her Christmas, not just another "MOM Christmas" Where she watched everybody else open their presents. She was disappointed and I was crushed to see her disappointed.
Customer Review: Does not work Summary: 1 Stars
I don't know if I'm having really bad luck but both my original order and the replacement have been virtually unusable. The rollers do not align properly so for the first couple of settings things are OK but as you get to the thinner settings the dough travels along the roller and ends up in a big clump at one end. Not the best thing for making sheets.
I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that the third is better but the other reviews here don't give me much hope. Looks like I'll have to spend a bit more to get a decent one. Oh, and the desciption says "imported", yes it is, from China!
