Perhaps it is merely my own inexperience with 1000 count sheets, but I was expecting something more like silk and less like pants-weight poplin. I was expecting fine long staple cotton woven to produce something light weight yet durable. Instead, while they are smooth and comfortable to sleep on, they are heavy and almost stiff when folding. Hmmm. Perhaps someone else can say whether it is my expectations that were wrong, or if the thousand threads here were not quite the right thing.
