"Weir in Your Kitchen" 9" pie plate with matching pie vent features an unglazed bottom which is Pfaltzgraff's key to a perfect flaky pie crust. Can also be used as a round baker. Use for single and double pie crusts, small casserole servings, baking dinner rolls. Deep cayenne color will compliment any tablesetting. Warm and serve apple pie on this Pfaltzgraff 9-inch pie plate. Pfaltzgraff collaborated with celebrated chef and PBS host Joanne Weir to design the pie plate as part of their Weir in Your Kitchen bakeware line. The plate design displays embossed acanthus vines, inspired by Weir's collection of antique Italian ceramics. A matching pie vent accompanies the plate for cooking convenience.
The pie plate features Pfaltzgraff's Pro Lumina ceramic construction for 50 percent more strength than other stoneware pieces. The plate's glaze resists chips, scratches, stains, and residual odors. To transport the pie plate to and fro, the user grips the two sculpted handles. The microwave-safe pie plate accommodates freezer-to-oven treatment, sustaining temperatures up to 500 degrees F. For the best results, grease the pie plate's interior prior to baking. The pie plate is dishwasher- safe for easy cleaning. Avoid using abrasives and wait until the pie plate cools before washing.
