These are kind of funky looking, they are definitely my least favorite item in the Summer Breeze collection. I have most of the other items and I just love the entire set. So far I've had little problem with the salt and pepper shakers, though I haven't used them all that much. They are interesting to look at, that's for sure!
Description of Pfaltzgraff Summer Breeze Sculpted Stoneware Salt and Pepper Set
Accented by delicate green leaves, periwinkle blue "forget-me-nots" climb along the gentle yellow plaid border like flowers on a garden trellis. Summer Breeze captures the lighthearted fun of the season, and is a perfect companion to a casual lifestyle.Designed to complement the place settings and serving dishes in Pfaltzgraff's Summer Breeze design series, this set of salt and pepper shakers features the same blue and green hues, with a twist: sculpted flowers adorn the shakers. Each shaker is short and wide with a green scalloped base. One shaker has four holes, the other three. (Presumably the four-hole shaker is for salt, but you can make that decision yourself.) As with all Pfaltzgraff dinnerware, single replacement pieces are available for broken items. The stoneware is safe for use in the microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher.
