With the Pistoulet 40-piece dinnerware set, Pfaltzgraff has created a beautiful tablesetting collection based on the book, The Secrets of Pistoulet by Jana Kolpen. Each piece is brightly decorated with freely rendered flowers, vines and vegetables drawn from or influenced by the book's illustrations, also by Ms. Kolpen. Bright, colorful drawings are set against wide watercolor washes that evoke the light and colors of Southern France. Be transformed by the magic of PistouletAn enchanted farmhouse in the French countryside, delightfully portrayed in Jana Kolpen's book The Secrets of Pistoulet, provides the inspiration for Pfaltzgraff's Pistoulet tableware. The hand-painted collection layers together an assortment of romantic rustic motifs, from fleur-de-lis and polka dots to sunflowers and checkerboards to unfurling vines and ripe fruit. Sun-drenched shades of yellow, red, green and blue create a warm palette, while delicate banded borders and scalloped edges unite the set in a casually coordinated style.
