I received my set yesterday and I must tell how BEAUTIFUL it is! I was so surprised by the workmanship, deep vibrant colors, and the size. The mugs are 16 oz., the dinner plate is 12 inches, the soup bowl is hearty, and the salad plate is a wonderful 9 inches. What a great purchase! It came 1 day earlier than estimated and it's been a great experience ordering from Amazon (I'm a returning customer), I kinda forgot about them! If you're looking for a great casual dinnerware set, then buy it, buy it, buy it and enjoy!!!Customer Review: Beautiful Dishes...Not User Friendly

Bought these about 3 years ago because they are beautiful. Plates are huge, bowls are deep, mugs are perfect...but, when you microwave them you WILL get burned. All the heat goes to the dish, not the food/liquid. I'm not talking luke warm or hot to touch...scalding hot is more like it. Additionally, the plates chip easily. All but a couple dishes do not have chips :( (I bought 2 - 4 piece sets)
It makes me sad, but I am actively searching replacements. So beautiful, so sad :(

The dishes are beautiful and really compliment my dining room. Amazon was great to work through. I received my dishes quickly, however, one box did not have any packing around the dishes and several pieces were broken. I contact Amazon via email and told them about the problem, they shipped another set and I had it within just a few days. I bought this set about a year ago. Within a week or so I had a chip on a plate and I do not have any idea how it got there. I am very careful with my dishes and wash by hand, no kids.... I also noticed scratchmarks on the plates right away from the knives. While I do love the looks of this set, I would not buy it again nor would I really recommend it to anyone else.Customer Review: Evening Sun Pieces grow mold

The evening sun pattern is made out of something called 'earthenware' as compared to Stoneware. These have a greater tendency to absorb and keep water in the area on bottom where they are not glazed, and therefore will have a tendency to grow mold.
