Customer Review: Good grind, poor construction

I had been looking for a new grinder and my sister and brother-in-law have had this for several years and just raved about it. My daughter got it for me for X-mas. Great grind but the bottom won't stay on, very poor fit. Don't buy this unless you look it over very carefully first. 1/24/09 UPDATE. Contacted Peppermate and they said to return it and they would replace it. After two weeks I received a new one. Same story, poor fit on the bottom cover, just won't stay on. This is a real aggravation. DO NOT BUY THIS GRINDER.

Designed for efficient kitchen operation and elegant tabletop use, this all-purpose mill has a ceramic grinding mechanism and can be used with all spices, including pepper, salt, and nutmeg. An adjustable ceramic grinding mechanism controls the size of the grind from fine to super coarse; the adjustment does not change during use or when refilling the mill. The clear, removable base may be used to hold the freshly ground spices, making it ideal for measuring precise amounts for recipes.
