I ordered this item for my husband's birthday not knowing if he would like it, as neither of us knew anything about wine preservers. But, knowing my gadget-loving, wine-loving husband, I figured it was a good bet. To make a short story even shorter, he loved it. He has dragged every one of our friends and family members downstairs to see it. It does everything it says it will do, no problem with bait and switch here. The only thing I though was a little odd was that the insulation (you can see it through the window)was just silver styrofoam. For the price, I guess I expected something a little more high-tech.Customer Review: Great product

I own it. Seems like it is balogna, but works better than any other system I have tried. I have had a bottle of wine in mine for weeks and it was as good when consumed the second time.
UPDATE:
It breaks constantly. The company did send out replacements, even after the warranty was up, but it will not keep temp after the first month or so. Now I just use it to inject gas into the bottle.
