Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Pedrini Black & Satin Classic Can OpenerCustomer Review: More like a Can't Opener Summary: 1 Stars
I should have been suspicious of a can opener that is marketed as "satin". Perhaps it is meant to imply that the opening mechanism works smoothly, but that would be in direct contradiction to how it actually functions. Even more ambitious is calling it a "can opener", as this would also be in direct contradiction to how it actually functions.
However, I can see the dilemma of the marketing branch at Pedrini; a Black & Crappy Can't Opener probably wouldn't sell as well.
It broke after "opening" ten cans. That's $.60 per can.
Customer Review: Garbage Summary: 1 Stars
The plastic of this can opener, which is used in abundance, is cheap. When I received the opener, one of the handles, which wasn't really attached, fell off. How it got past QC is beyond me.
It doesn't really open cans, a definite minus for a can opener.
The handle that turns broke after a single use.
This is one of the worst products, and hands down the worst can opener I've ever encountered in my life. It is complete and utter garbage.
Save a few dollars and get an all-metal can opener at a convenience store.
Customer Review: Good, simple can opener for the price Summary: 3 Stars
I appreciate that this can opener was made in Italy, and not the typical made in China like everthing else on the market. The opener is lightweight and does the job. It performs well but I personally would prefer a heavier and more substantial feel in a manual can opener. However, it does perform better than the OXO I bought at three times the price, which started failing on me a month after I bought it. This can opener is a good price and would make an excellent backup or something to leave at work.
Customer Review: Good Can Opener Summary: 4 Stars
I have used this can opener for several months and it works like a charm. It is much easier to grab a hand can opener than it is dragging out an electric one.
I was deciding between this one and much more expensive one and I am so pleased that I picked the Pedrini. It has held up and have not had any problems with it.
If you are looking for a good manual can opener then I recommend this one.
Customer Review: It's a can opener Summary: 5 Stars
Well, this is a can opener. It does what it is supposed to do. Open cans. Does it without trouble. Seems to be of good construction and never slips off the can. Easy to clean and large enough not to get lost in the drawer or in my hands. Can are opened without sharp edges and when cleaned out the covers go back on the cans and make good hiding places for things you need or want to hide.
