Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Ped Egg Pedicure Foot File, Colors may varyCustomer Review: A cheese grater would work better! Summary: 2 Stars
I excitedly purchased my Ped Egg at Walmart after my friend raved about it. To my surprise it was not at all what I expected.
Cons: It's nothing more than a very dull cheese grater in a strangely shaped container. Ergonomic? No, I get a cramp in my hand from holding it.
The shavings fall out of the opening of the grater, so you will still need to put down a towel on your floor.
If you have extremely dry feet, you should not use this as it will tear the skin and you WILL bleed.
Using it on moderately dry feet is okay, but it really doesn't do very much in removing dry skin. I find that the included sandpaper does more work for me, much like the sandpaper foot files you can buy for a dollar!
Overall, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this Ped Egg.
Customer Review: This Product Is Great Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this product at a local Bed, Bath and Beyond. I must admit that I have severely calloused feet and was skeptical because I have tried many other things that did not work. To my surprise, this product worked. What I found is that for people with severely calloused feet, don't expect perfect feet the first time. My suggestion is that you first soak your feet with a foot soak. Dry your feet and then use the Ped Egg. After using the Ped Egg, moisturize your feet with something thick liked vaseline and put on socks (to keep the moisture in). Do this a couple times a week for about 2 weeks and you will notice a great difference. Also you have to maintain your feet on a regular basis. If you shower at night moisturize your feet and cover them with socks. Of course,I am speaking from the standpoint of a person with severely calloused feet.
Customer Review: Helped my Ashy nasty man feet !!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
OMG yall.. My feets were bad! I mean they looked so crusty and nasty. I had callous pads on the front on my feet, and thick cracked pads on the heels. I don't know why my feet are like this, every few weeks I MUST deal with it other wise I can't walk with out pain. I have tried everything from those razor blade things that plane off the skin to all kinds of files and pumice. They never work and jack up my feet! But the Ped Egg did a very nice job, and never cut me at all. The only drawbacks are the blades get dull after about 2 uses (on my feet, yours maybe not) and I buy a new one (10 bucks big deal). And also you need to put a towel under your feet because some shavings fall out. Honestly people, I get about a half cup or more of shavings If I let wait about 6 weeks between ped egging.. it helps me THAT MUCH! I love this thing.
Customer Review: Not a scam! Summary: 5 Stars
It seems like something that wouldn't work, but it's actually a miracle!
The inner parts of my soles and big toes were getting so dry, the became yellow and tough. I tried everything! I have every kind of foot lotion you could imagine and nothing worked.
So i finally used the Pedegg and it was amazing! After just fifteen minutes of use, the toughness began to go down and now it doesn't hurt to walk anymore! (Yes, that's how bad they were! It hurt me so much!)
Plus, it seems like a cheese grater for your foot would hurt and burn, but it's painless!!
The only flaw is that if you have used this several times without emptying the shavings, the old dry skin will fall onto your foot as you use it. It's gross...but if you empty it every now and then it's great!
I highly reccomend it! It isn't too late to have great feet!
Customer Review: Well worth the money! Summary: 5 Stars
It's so simple of an idea that I'm surprised no one has done this before now. It works wonders for you feet! I live in Florida and not only do I wear shoes that expose my feet throughout the year, but I also go barefoot a lot, too. Well kept feet are a must for me! This product makes it quick and easy to spruce up your feet and it's so much cheaper than a pedicure. (Although nothing can take the place of regular pedicures!). The emery finishing pads which are included are a necessary component. If you don't get the package that includes the finishing pads, just make sure you get a separate foot file to use in order to smooth the rough edges you are certain to have after using the Ped Egg blade. My recommendation is to use the Ped Egg before bathing and then use an emery foot file that works well in water. Expect absolutely smooth results!
