Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic SRG06FG 3.3-Cup (Uncooked) Automatic Rice CookerCustomer Review: Nice little cooker Summary: 5 Stars
It does one thing and does it very well: It cooks just the right amount of rice or other grains. It's easy to clean, there's no burning, and it doesn't take up much space on the counter. It takes a little experimenting to get exactly the right amount of water for your personal taste (I use less for white, more for black rice), but if you start with the amount recommended on the package of product, you won't be far off and can adjust the next time.
Customer Review: Worth the money Summary: 4 Stars
Worth the money if you just want to make good rice. Does not have any other features that you may find useful, such as a keep warm setting, vegetable steaming option, etc. I love the easy clean-up and its small size so I can keep it on the counter. So far the non stick surface looks good, I have not seen any of the flaking that others are writing about. The pan in which the rice cooks feels a bit cheap, but it does the job and it does it well.
Customer Review: Love it! Great bang for the buck Summary: 5 Stars
I got this after my cheapie Salton R3A rice cooker died. This has the same basic design but the bowl is teflon coated so rice doesnt stick. Put your rice in, add the right amount of water, press the button and just wait and you'll have great rice.
Brown rice will get a little messy though. I get foaming bubble and they want to bubble out of the top of the lid. I need to practice more on making brown rice with this thing
Customer Review: Perfect basic rice cooker Summary: 5 Stars
I never enjoyed cooking rice much and now I love to make it since it is such a breeze with this little cooker. I tweak the amount of water I use depending on the type rice and have never had a bad batch of rice. Makes great brown rice, sticky rice, jasmine rice... and so forth. Yes it has no fancy feature but I didn't want them and will buy again if this one ever gives out on me. It also helped to read other people's suggestions.
Customer Review: You Get What You Pay For Summary: 3 Stars
I didn't expect longevity from a cheap rice cooker and I wasn't disappointed. A little more than a year after having this, some kind of coating is coming off of the pan. It's gross. I'm in the market now for a replacement and I'll make sure I get one that's better quality this time. However, this little rice cooker did the job fine for the money we paid. We use it at least once a week, sometimes as much as 5-6 times a week.
