The iron is working great so far and it does stay hot once you use it as per manufacturer's guidance..i.e....keep it on the charge base at all times when you are not actually ironing. I didn't realise the power cord was retractable and is stored within the base itself which is an added plus. I love the fact that I can store the iron right away while it is piping hot. The only thing is this was supposed to be a brand new iron from Amazon and when it arrived and I opened the package there were scratches below the iron.....I'm suspiciously thinking Amazon sent me a refurbished product.Customer Review: Not designed with Lefties in mind

This iron works as well as the 1972 Sunbeam Jewel that it is replacing. As a lefty, I feel the design is flawed, however. The release button is right where I put my thumb, which is distracting, and the cord comes out of the base in the direction that works well for right-handed people, but not left-handed. It wouldn't have taken any more effort to make the features of this iron more lefty friendly. I'm also suspicious of the retractable cord. It feels cheesy, like it might not last very long. Overall, it's easier for me to use than my old corded iron, and I intend to keep it.Customer Review: GREAT Iron

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He's a chef and needs to iron his THICK and HEAVY chef coats. It works GREAT! He loves it. The detachable water container makes it easy to fill. It doesnt take too long to heat up. We BOTH LOVE the heat proof case that comes with it (for organization purposes), and I personally love the retracktable cord. He uses starch on his coats but the great thing about this iron, its very EASY to clean the iron part. It was a great price and I would do it all over again! I bought it in January and hes been using it for the full 5 months now.Customer Review: I never thought I'd be in love with an iron.

I just got this iron and am already smitten. I love that it doesn't have a cord. It is so easy to iron my clothes. I was forever getting my cord caught on the edge of the ironing board and now this is no longer a problem.
Every time I pause to move my shirts / pants, I put the iron back on the charger. By doing this, it is always warm. The iron warms up fast and steamed everything I ironed... I'm not sure if the steam is a setting or how it irons everything... I didn't read the instructions.
Ironing is much easier without the cord. I will never go back.

Its a little pricey for the product but hey its cordless. I think it should have been in 45-49 range. The cordless function works well but it looses heat very quickly and you have to keep it on the charging station very oftenly. Also while ironing cotton cloths you must press the iron hard to get rid of washing machine wrinkles. There are three different steam settings low med and high but you can not use it without the high setting. I like the design, cordless function and the carrying case so I didnt mind paying 57 bucks.
