Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Panasonic NC-ER22NW 2.3-Quart Electric Thermo PotCustomer Review: National NC-ER22NW 2.3-Quart Electric Thermo Pot Summary: 5 Stars
Very nice. I stayed at a hotel in Japan that had one of these in my room. It was nice to be able to brew fresh tea or coffee anytime I wanted since this pot keeps water at the perfect temperature as long as it is plugged in (which was all the time at the hotel). If you are a coffee or tea snob, you know the importance of having the right temperature water. I could make a cup at a time or more. This model is perfect if one or two people will be sharing it. I'd recommend the larger size if three or more will use it. The push button dispenser means you never have to tip the unit or anything like that...just hold your cup under the spout and push the button. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to its reliability but it is easy to use and clean.
Description of Panasonic NC-ER22NW 2.3-Quart Electric Thermo PotThis electric thermo pot boils and dispenses up to 3.2 quarts of water for serving tea to a crowd. The pot?s interior container has a nonstick carbon-finished coating that specifically draws out the taste, color, and aroma of tea. This thermo pot automatically boils a full container of water in 25 minutes when plugged in. However, it is equipped with a microcomputer for more automated and electricity-reducing operation and can be set to start boiling either 6 or 10 hours later as well. A keep-warm mode automatically kicks in after boiling and holds water at temperatures of 140 degrees F for 3 to 4 minutes (ideal for coffee, tea, or noodles) or 208 degrees F for 13 to 14 minutes (perfect for baby formula). For tap water that is high in chlorination, the pot has the option of setting a longer boil, which reduces the taste and amount of chlorine in the water. Hot water is safely dispensed through a spout on the front of the unit at the touch of a button. For safety, a locking lid ensures that boiling water won?t spill if the pot is accidentally knocked over and the plastic exterior is cool to the touch to further reduce the chance of burns. Other features on this unit include an easy-to-read water level indicator on the front, a rotating base, and a plastic carrying handle. The thermo pot is covered by a limited warranty for one year after the date of purchase. --Cristina Vaamonde
