Customer Review: Pur Defect! Broke after 4 days of light use

I had this product for 4 days. It broke.
Usually, I fill the pitcher with water and leave it in a fridge and pour a glass whenever I needed. Today, I took the pitcher out of the fridge and left it on a table, I assume due to different of room temperature and the temperature of the water inside, the sides of the pitcher started to crack. Found out a little late, the water ran and make a nice puddle on the carpet. If the pitcher is made with such crappy material that can't even withstand the slight change of temperature from the fridge to room temperature, I cant imagine on what standards the filters are made with.

This pitcher is made very cheaply of thin plastic that cracks far too easily. Mine has cracks and constantly leaks water into the refrigerator.
It's hard to pour from this pitcher without it dribbling all over the place - you have to fill a glass over the kitchen sink to avoid making a mess.
The LED light is a gimmick that doesn't really work. I know how much water I put into the pitcher, and it tells me to replace the filter far too early - I guess this is how they sell more filters than people really need.

We are an Agricultural Manufacturing company that produces a biodegradable cornstarch soil additive that helps reduce the need for watering so in an effort to keep the "green" mission we use these water filter pitchers to reduce the plastic bottles in the landfill. I feel really good about using this filter pitcher, but I wish there was a better recycling program for the filters. We do our best to dismantle the filters and recycle everything we can, but like with toner it would be great if we could return these to PUR for recycling.Customer Review: Great Filtering Water Pitcher

We are very, very happy with the PUR 2-Stage water pitcher. This was our first purchase for a water filtering product and we are very pleased with the taste of the water. And....no more lugging gallons of water from the store which was becoming a task for us as seniors. I would recommend this product but keep in mind you may have to refill frequently based on your water consumption. We have opted to store the filtered water in some additional pitcher containers so we always have lots of cold filtered water on hand.Customer Review: Water purifier

I've done research to see how good the water purifiers are, and also how the water they filter is compared to bottle water. I have been purchasing bottled water for a long time now. My findings gave me the surity that the purified water, this system being the best for a picture style water purifier, is good. I am happy with the system after using it for 2 full weeks. The only thing is I'm probably going to look at getting the larger container for home use. This one is great for travel and at work.
