Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of PUR 2 Stage Water Pitcher Replacement FilterCustomer Review: Good price --better filtration than Brita Summary: 5 StarsGood price and these are often difficult to find. Almost every store carries only Brita. The Pur filtration is much better than Brita --read the labels.
Customer Review: Pur Water Filter Summary: 4 StarsGreat Product, fits in firidge, makes great tasting water. Easy to keep the tank filled so cool clean water is on tap at will. Have only had the unit less than a month so I can't speek on how long the filters will last. So far so go. No more plastic jugs to recycle. Never run out and have to go to the store. My oly question is: is there a filter recycle program for this product? That would be the ultimate. Then I would give it 5 stars.
Customer Review: pur filter replacement Summary: 4 StarsThe Pur filter replacement does not have an indicator, as mentioned, but is vastly better than Brita, which does not taste nearly as good and leaves a charcoal residue. It locks into the pitcher instead of falling out or having to be held by hand, as with the Brita. I use my filters for about 1.5 months for a family of 4, and replace them when the filtration process takes a long time. This system is well worth the slightly higher cost.
Customer Review: Pur water pitcher replacements Summary: 5 StarsAmazon was the only place where I could find these Pur water filters at a fair price. The grocery stores and Target sell these but are more expensive. I have used Pur for years and like it better than the Brita filters. The water taste better since I have hard water in my area. I have also used the Brita filters but find that the Pur does a better job. In the desert, you tend to drink a lot of water. I hope this review will help you in your decision.
Customer Review: False Advertising PUR CRF-950Z Summary: 1 StarsThis PUR water filter is the only one that can be used in the large PUR dispenser. PUR claims that it filters 40 gallons - this is a bogus claim - it stops working after 3 or 4 refills. PUR claims it will work for 2 months - it slows to almost nothing after one week! I thought there was something wrong with my water but, after reading other reviews about slow filtering, I know my claim is valid. Something is wrong with manufacturing (in Mexico) or design. I expected better quality from Brand P&G - no longer. I like the dispenser but sure don't want to pay $350 or more per year for filters - not to mention the amount of plastic material used. I read with disgust how PUR answered one consumer by telling them that most users like the new design better - I don't believe them.
