Worked great for about a month, and then the thin piece of metal anchoring the hinge to the flask snapped unexpectedly. Now there's a thin rectangular hole there for water to spill through. I emailed the seller about 24 hours ago, and if I hear back soon I'll change my review to reflect whatever happens. I suppose this is the kind of thing that you could fix yourself if you were a welder, but I'm not.

UPDATE: In a few days, they replied to my email. They sent a replacement, which looks exactly like the original in every way - including the way the construction looks where the hinge meets the flask. However, they completely ignored the question I asked them about whether the same thing was likely to happen again, and whether anything had been done to reinforce this weak point. My guess is that the same thing will happen all over again if I use the replacement flask for a month or two. I'm a bit worried. I upped my review from two stars to three, but my guess is that users who use it only a few times will be happy, but people who use it heavily and carry it in their pockets and expose it to daily wear will end up where I did. I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see. I might add another star if this new one holds out better.
