Customer Review: When an item does not arrive, Amazon disappoints

Amazon asked me to review this item, but even though i was charged for it it never arrived. I am an amazon prime member and i make thousands of dollars of purchases a year, and most go smoothly, but when it was time to try and report an item that shows in the system as 'shipped' but never made it to my home - well, then you see the entire amazon store is automated and nobody to talk to if there is a problem. The 'call back' feature from customer service has failed, and the special complaint form also had a technical glitch after multiple return visits to the site. For this low of a price it is not worth the agony - but i am hoping SOMEBODY at Amazon may read this and come to the rescue. Maybe Amazon Prime members deserve to get an 800# we can call where a person actually picks up the phone???
Description of Oxo SteeL Spaghetti Server
Sturdy, comfortable, and endowed with sleek good looks, this pasta server has it all. Fettucine and linguine don't stand a chance against this beauty.With its working end shaped like a pronged bowl, this 13-inch tool dips into a pot and comes up with a load of pasta while it drains the water away. Pasta strands drape through the prongs and don't clump together. Handsome enough to bring to the table, this pasta server dishes out long pastas more easily than does a spoon or fork. Oxo's Steel line is an all-stainless-steel variant of the company's familiar fat-handled Good Grips line. Rather than being straight-sided, this tool's handle is tapered from heel to finger grip and has satin-finish, stainless-steel panels top and bottom. The handle's sides feature the same design as those in the Good Grips line--they're made of soft processed rubber for comfort, with "fins," or grooves, that flex under pressure, conforming to individual finger grips and providing control when handles are wet or slippery. Like all Oxo tools, this pasta server is dishwasher-safe; a hole in its handle facilitates hanging on a hook or peg. --Fred Brack
