I purchased this product with the assumption that the blade was flexible as the description says. However, i was quite disappointed to find that the blade barely bent under pressure from my hand and was not nearly flexible enough to gently slide under the first piece of pie. RSVP makes a much better flexible pie server.

Description of Oxo SteeL Pie Server

Steel Pie Server by OXO features a brushed stainless steel handle that is strong and built to last, while the flexible fins make using this server a pleasure. A flexible steel head with serration on both sides will make cutting and serving pies, quiches and more, nice and easy.

This pie server is elegant yet efficient, acting as a slicer and server. With sharp, serrated edges on the sides, use this tool to slice up dessert and then deliver it to a plate. The strong, yet flexible, stainless steel head can easily glide under pie crusts, yet won't bend, even with hefty servings. The large, comfortable handle is brushed stainless steel with rubber fins for comfort and will remain cool to the touch. It's also nonslip under wet or dry conditions. And the large hanging hole in the handle makes storage easy. Like all Oxo products, this tool is dishwasher-safe. --Laurie Notaro
