I love this travel mug but.....I had one come apart after a years use, OMG the gunk that I was never able to clean out of the top was absolutely disgusting!! Not to mention I'd been drinking out of the mold infested cap for months! You see, this top does NOT come apart and there is NO WAY to properly clean them without destroying the seal-ability. Glad this happened to me eventually and before I got sick from the bacteria that was surely in that gunk; as I had been sold on this mug for about 5 years and never used another type.
Moving on to something new until OXO revamps my standby (gross) favorite.
