I have been tearing my hair out looking for a canned cat food lid that would fit the slightly oversized 3 oz. (or 3.2 oz.) cat food cans. These are perfect. They fit over the regular 3 oz. cans like Fancy Feast, Wellness or Natural Balance, but also stretch to fit the slightly larger 3 oz. cans like B.G. Before Grain, Weyruva, Soulistic and Blue Buffalo Wilderness. Yay! There are two lids in each package. The rubber is very soft and they are a breeze to snap on and off. They do fine in my dishwasher. The spoon slot in the top is kind of silly, I agree. But, it is not an open gap, so if you don't use it the can is still tightly sealed.
I also tried the Petmate brand of lids with the kitty ear shape on them and although they did fit both size 3 oz. cans, they were so stiff and hard that they were next to impossible to put on and take off. I tossed them after getting the OurPets lids.
Description of OurPet FLEX-O-LID Cat Food Lid For Small Can 2 Rubber Lids
OurPet's set of two Flex-o-Lids - one pink and one blue - are rubber lids that seal in freshness at all temperatures. Unlike plastic lids, OurPet's Flex-O-Lids are durable and won't crack, and are even dishwasher safe. They feature a unique slot which allows a spoon to be kept in the can, while sealing in freshness and keeping odors from escaping.
Small Flex-O-Lids fit most small cans of canned dog or cat food. Small Flex-o-Lids are approximately 2 5/8" in diameter.
