I bought this because I thought it would make short work of chopping and mince really fast and have more power blending. However..I just tried this new 'improved' blade in my blender with the exact same smoothie recipe I always make..[one bunch Italian parsley, raw ginger, yogurt, apple juice, etc.]. With my old original blade...after a couple minutes...I would eventually get a nice creamy texture..only very very small pieces of parsley visible.
With this new model...no matter how long I left the blender running...it did not suck the top third of the liquid down very well to the blades [which did not do a good job of mincing]. Parsley was not finely cut and I could easily see large pieces. So I will be going back to my old reliable blade which did the trick. BTW....if you really want to try this blade...this seller's price is four times what you can buy this for from Amazon...search for a 'sunbeam blender blade'...same as this at less than $3.00.
