This thing is the MOST AMAZING BLENDER BLADE EVER! I have a 30+ year old Osterizer, and the original blade - still sharp after all these years - was leaking from the seal. Rather than buy a new blender, I found this thing here at Amazon, and ordered it. It came very quickly (ahead of the estimated delivery date), and as soon as it arrived I made a frozen concoction to help me hang on. OMG! What a job it made of my margarita when I hit the "Liquify" button on the old Osterizer! And, it doesn't leak!! If you asked me if you should get one, I'd say, "Hell, for the price you might as well get two!"Customer Review: Works like new again

I make smoothies that requires blending 6 ice cubes and frozen fruit nearly every day. I bought an Oster blender over a year ago and it has been great at making smoothies. Lately, it has been taking an incredibly long time to mix them and I figured the blender was finished. I resigned myself to buying a new blender but at the last minute, I decided to try replacing the chopping blade. I am so HAPPY I decided to give this a try because my blender is running like new again and saved me at least $20. I would recommend buying two at once as this will save you money on shipping costs.Customer Review: Like a new blender!!!!

I was given an Oster Blender as a wedding gift in 1986, and have been using it ever since. Lately, the margaritas were coming out with chunks of ice, and I thought it was because the motor was getting weak. After reading the reviews, I decided to try replacing the blade rather than forking out for an entire new blender. OH MY WORD!!!!! It truly is like having a new blender!! The margaritas are so smooth... no more ice chunks! I don't care where it is made - it will renew your old blender. I thought I would need a new blender but it just needed a new blade! Cheap. Easy. Fix. I'm now thinking of all the other things I've bought that have broken and could have been repaired if only they had been made like my Oster blender. Hair dryers, toasters, microwaves...well I might not want to attempt repairing a microwave oven even if it was just replacing a part, but you get the picture. Repairable appliances mean less trash. I didn't realize how much sharper, and therefore how much more efficient, the replacement blade was. To me the old blade still appeared and felt very sharp. As a plus the blade came with as new replacement gasket which wasn't mentioned in the description before I ordered the blade. If I had realized that my old blade wasn't actually that sharp, and that the new blade would be so much morte efficient I would have ordered a replacement much sooner.
