Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Oster 4207 Electric Wine-Bottle OpenerCustomer Review: nice design, really works!! Summary: 5 Stars
My mother gave this to my husband as a gift (even though I always open the wine) I am left handed and usually have trouble with can openers and wine openers. She bought it because our local TV station tests products that are sold on TV. They gave it 2 thumbs up and so am I! It doesn't take that much counter space and looks pretty sleek. More so, it is a conversation piece when company is over. Beware though, it is not very quiet, maybe a little quieter than a can opener. Tuck it in a corner if you have to but it is worth every penny so far! I am buying more from Amazon for gifts for friends.
Customer Review: Best so far! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading the previous reviews posted on Amazon, I decided that more people of thought this as a good opener than not. Although I have been using this for about one month, so far it has worked flawlessly. I have had two "rabbit" style openers that cost 2 to 3 times the cost of this opener that lasted (actually broke into pieces) from 1 to 3 years, so only time will tell on its longivity. I am also using it on both natural and plastic corks. I am using the advice of one reviewer to put a dab of oil (olive) on the tip of the corkscrew for ease of use, especially better with plastic corks.
Customer Review: Best thing since sliced bread Summary: 5 Stars
If you've ever fought with a cork, this wine bottle opener is a MUST HAVE. Remove the foil with the cutter (supplied), position the bottom of the opener on top of the cork and press the down arrow on the front. Keep a slight upward pressure on the opener and "viola" -- the cork is out of the bottle. To remove the cork from the opener, press the up arrow until the cork falls out. I give the instructions because it didn't come with any and it took me a while to figure out how easy this was. I wouldn't be without it. It was a present, but I've bought one for a friend and she loves it also.
Customer Review: oster wine-bottle opener Summary: 4 Stars
My husband couldn't open a bottle of wine without blaming the corkscrew, (i on the other hand, had no problem with the corkscrew). I decided to get this wine opener, it works great, even he can use it with no problem (after the first time). I recommend this for the challenged wine-bottle-opener. It's sleek and dosen't take up much space and it's ready to go all the time. this is an excellent gift for a wine drinker, or for someone with dexterity problems. The price is right too. We have only had it since Christmas, so it gets 4 stars until i see how long it lasts and how it holds up.
Customer Review: Great little item Summary: 5 Stars
Great item, works every time. Simple to use, push down button to remove cork from bottle & up button to get the cork out of the opener.
This opener will split some of the corks. (I don't save the corks) A wine bottle "stopper" is preferred anyway, if you save some for later.
The included charger works good and the unit holds a charge very well. I let mine set for several months & still had plenty of power
to open wine for Thanksgiving dinner. I bought mine over a year ago, and it still works great!
I like it so well that I bought another one for a xmas gift.
