Customer Review: One piece all silicone, great design

This one-piece silicone spoon fits well in the hand and works well on non-stick cookware. It is sturdy but has more flexibility than the hard nylon type. It takes the heat, and cleans up easily. It is large enough to do the job, but doesn't take up too much room in the utensil drawer. I was hesitant to pay ~$10 for a utensil, but after trying the slotted turner (Orka All Silicone Slotted Turner, Redfound at Ross for ~$5), I also bought this, the stirring spoon and the spoon spatula, and I like them all. The Amazon 4-for-3 special offer is a good incentive. I'm getting rid of my old hard nylon and plastic utensils, because of health concerns about the nylon and plastic.
The green color is very nice, actually more of a yellow-green than the photo. On my screen, the photo of the slotted turner Orka Silicone Slotted Turner, Green is closer to the actual color.
PS-1 if you are getting silicone utensils to address health concerns, you may want to make sure that the business end of the utensil is silicone. Some less expensive utensils advertised as silicone just have silicone handles but nylon or something else for the rest.
PS-2 Down rating this from 5 stars to 4 stars because silicone retains cooking odors even after washing and soaking for an hour in boiling water.
