I bought two of these by accident. I'm sure they are wonderful hand-sized scrapers for bowls -- I tried it out of curiosity, worked fine -- but I am just laying utensils (spatulas, spoons, etc.) on them. I really like them!
I've only had one ceramic spoon rest before, usually over on the stove. Kind of a pain. I didn't know how much I needed a 'utensil rest' on the counter(s) until I actually got a couple and suddenly wondered how I'd done without them so long. I just rinse them off when I'm rinsing whatever dishes I used and toss 'em back on the counters... I use them more than I thought I would and spend a lot less time cleaning counters now.
I keep them on the corner of each major counter but they store neatly in the drawer with the other miscellany that doesn't hang up. I actually think these are so cool I am considering getting a third for the third counter, is that overkill or what.
I guess there is not a long list of virtues on a product like this -- we all know silicone is cool in the kitchen, and black matches everything -- but for what it claims to do, it does it well. Being a scraper too is just a bonus. I think it was worth the $ in the end, even for two.
