The color of the wood is definitely not as pictured - more "orangey" in color. Wood is scratched and has some chunks out of it. Looks like the packaging that the screws have come in was opened and has been stapled back together (this is supposed to be a NEW item). Husband is putting it together - we'll see how that goes! A bit dissapointed, but I guess for the price - what can you expect.
