The Hurricane juicer works very well, extracting 95% + of the available juice. The wheat seed that comes with the kit is high quality and I highly recommend it over store bought varieties of hard white wheat as those supplies have been mangled by harsh production and processing methods.
The quality of the materials is of the topmost standard. I would recommend buying as much seed as practical as it is probably not easy to find elsewhere. Also, purchasing a corresponding supply of additional Azomite would be a good idea as well. I've grown the grass with both types of seed: the supplied organic (which I think is red wheat if I remember right) and some bulk seed purchased from Honeyville which was white wheat. The difference is big. The supplied red wheat seed is very sweet and not as prone to problems with mold. The hard white is more prone to mold and has no where near the sweet taste.
Among its great benefits, its ability to clean the blood and provide an amazing array of nutrients (including magnesium) were the most attractive to me.
For really good information on health, which is sound and very well established (as opposed to MUCH contradiction and misinformation found in Western medicine) is Ayurveda. In fact, if you really dive into the Vedas, you will be astonished at the level of knowledge found in those timeless texts.

This kit makes growing and juicing wheatgrass very easy. I've successfully done three trays so far. The juicer is extremely durable and is easy to disassemble and clean. The laminated instruction sheet is very handy and easy to follow. I've never used the juicer for anything besides wheatgrass, so I wouldn't know if it's good at juicing other things, but the manufacturer claims you can! Personally I didn't find much use for the book that came with this kit. You can easily find the same info that's in the book on the internet.
One thing to note: A full tray of wheatgrass provides you with approximately 6 shots of juice. The window of time that the wheatgrass is at it's optimal nutritional value is very small, maybe only 7-10 days after germination. Since I am the only one in my family drinking wheatgrass juice, I found that if I didn't diligently juice at least once a day, like if I skipped days and too much time went by, the grass got limp and tasted different than when it did at its peak (I think this was also caused by the hot weather in the summer). In the future I will grow smaller batches to ensure that I'm only ingesting wheatgrass juice that has the most nutritional value.

Simple, durable and well worth every penny. Without any prior knowledge or experience I have easily grown and juiced several trays of wheatgrass. Fits right on the counter in the kitchen and grows beautiful blades of grass within a few days. The juicers is the best manual juicers I have ever used; fast, high juice content and easy to clean. I save tones of money now since I no longer have to buy expensive shots of wheatgrass at the store.Customer Review: Just what you need!

The juicer is super heavy duty, easy to clean and looks like it's gonna' outlast me. I looked all over the internet for a good wheatgrass starter kit and finally decided to go with this one. This kit is really great. It arrived last week and I already have wheat grass that is 3 inches high! I haven't tried the juicer yet but it is very sturdy and looks like it is easy to clean. The instructions that come with this kit are so easy to follow... GREAT BUY!
